Apparel

I’ve had the privilege to be able to work with truly talented pattern makers, production teams, and materials in my time as an apparel designer. My designs look and feel simple, utilitarian, and fit for hard everyday wear. What is hiding within that simplicity is the delicate and deliberate way that supply chains were carefully created to make each garment out of a material that was chosen with the upmost care and attention to longevity and environmental stewardship. I’ve delighted in hemp, organic cotton, California Cloth, tencel, alpaca, and wool, wool, and more wool. At Appalatch we created a domestic supply chain ranging all the way back to the sheep and even owned and operated the Stoll knitting machine we used to make it. I truly believe the things we create and sell should be items that people will wear and value for years to come.
